Julie Clulow

Julie’s work encompasses a wide range of media including watercolour, acrylic, egg tempera, pen & ink, drawing, lino print and stained glass.

Her work reflects many influences, including a fascination with the elegant and flowing forms of Early Medieval Art, which has recently led her to create a number of small stained glass panels.

She is also engaged in a long-term research project into the life & work of 19th century English visionary artist Samuel Palmer (1805-1881); involving research trips to Canada, as well as to galleries, auction houses and museums across the UK.

She has lectured on Palmer and is currently writing a new biography of the artist, whose influence on her imagination, inspires and informs much of her work.
